Positive: Best location in and around Thamel. Palace renovated as a boutique property. Fabulous housekeeping ethic. Great Nepali food. The gym could do with upkeep but glad they had one. Super safe for solo travellers. Very attentive staff.

Positive: The room was not only beautifully furnished but also functional and cozy. The hotel is well located in Thamel area and has on-site parking within its compound, making it convenient for car/taxi drop-off and pick-up without obstructing the busy, narrow street. Check-in and check-out were efficient.

Negative: My room was above the restaurant and at times there was some smoke which seemed to come from the fireplace (not the kitchen smoke). Also, although not the hotel's fault, there was some loud nighttime noise from a nearby site during my stay.

Positive: Management, Staff, Facilities, Location all outstanding and exceeded expectations. A little oasis of peace amongst the chaos of Kathmandu. Beautiful old building that was once a Royal Residence. The owner/manager oversees the operation of the hotel with passion & pride. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for it's service and facilities. The variety of food available all day is exceptional.

Negative: Nothing about this Hotel was disappointing.
